Is Beyoncé Behind The “50 Shades Of Grey” Soundtrack?

You’d think Beyoncé might be busy as it is, as she’s currently performing on her second world tour of the past two years with husband Jay Z, but it looks like the unstoppable singer has another project coming up.

Earlier today, the On The Run star offered up the first look at the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey by uploading a teaser of its forthcoming trailer on her Instagram account.

Watching the clip, I sat in general confusion at the prospect of Beyoncé – one half of music’s first billionaire couple – making a sponsored Instagram post (she’s not – don’t worry), but then I heard it.

In the last few seconds, Beyoncé’s voice seductively purrs the famous line from her 2003 hit Crazy In Love: “uh oh uh oh uh oh, oh no no.”

Given that the majority of her recent self-titled album saw her re-emerge as a sex-crazed bedroom freak, it’s oddly fitting that this groggy, acappella remix has been chosen as the soundtrack to the movie’s trailer. Perhaps it was the book that inspired her.

Although, I don’t think that Crazy In Love will be the only song to feature on the film’s soundtrack. I mean, she managed to film seventeen music videos, record an album and then put it all on iTunes as a total surprise for the world last year. Who’s to say this isn’t her next project?

Fifty Shades is one of the most highly-anticipated films (mainly by horny 35-year-old women albeit) of recent years and Beyoncé is the biggest star in the world, so if this happened the results could be explosive.

The full-length trailer for Fifty Shades Of Grey will be released this Thursday.
