Nine months after announcing they were reformed, Danity Kane have released what appears to be the official first single from their long-awaited third album.
“Lemonade” is a fiery clapback to the haters, produced by Stereotypes (“Damaged“), featuring a thunderous Clipse sample and a raunchy rap from Tyga.
The track that sounds like classic DK with a hint of Beyoncé‘s “Partition” in the verses and the locker-bashing of Lil Mama‘s iconic 2007 masterpiece “Lip Gloss“.
Although, whilst the single is a strong start for the group, the release has caused major concern as only three members of the quartet appear on the track and there are only three girls shown on the artwork.
There has been no statement about Aundrea‘s current role in the group but we will find out next week when the group’s ‘No Filter’ tour begins tomorrow night in San Francisco.
