Gwen Stefani Confirms New Role As “The Voice” Coach

Gwen Stefani is slowly but surely fulfilling everyone’s dreams of her return as a solo star.

Following a surprise performance of her iconic hit “Hollaback Girl” during Pharrell Williams‘ Coachella set earlier this month the No Doubt front woman has confirmed the rumours of her being Christina Aguilera‘s replacement on The Voice are indeed true, by posting a picture of her recreating the show’s logo on Instagram.

The singer will be the female coach for the American edition’s seventh season whilst Aguilera takes a hiatus during her pregnancy. She will be joined by her long-time friend and collaborator Pharrell alongside the original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

The show has been great exposure for singers staging a comeback as both Shakira and Kylie Minogue experienced this year so we can only assume that Stefani is gearing up to release the long-awaited follow-up to her 2006 sophomore LP, “The Sweet Escape“.
