Sky Ferreira has premiered the stylish new music video for her latest single “I Blame Myself” on SSENSE.
The singer and part-time model is one of the most compelling artists of today’s rising starlets, so it comes as no surprise that she completely owns the video.
Accompanied by four dancers, the 21-year-old hair flips and dances her way around an abandoned spot of Compton before getting arrested and fooling around with a police officer. The clip was directed by Grant Singer, who has directed her last six videos.
The autobiographical song is one of our favourite tracks from her astounding debut LP and the visual captures its essence perfectly, referencing the singer’s infamous run-in with the law last year for possession of narcotics.
All in all, it’s a brilliant video for a brilliant song. Head over to SSENSE and watch it now (you can also buy everything Sky wears on the website, too.)
