Jennifer Lopez has been dropping singles left, right and centre recently and now she has premiered another new song, “I Luh Ya Papi“.
The last time we heard about JLo’s “Papi” was when she was dancing for him in that Fiat car but now – thankfully – she’s just declaring her love for him, or her “luh” should I say.
It hasn’t been made clear if “I Luh Ya Papi” is an official single or if it is simply another buzz single for her upcoming eighth album but the 44-year-old may be in luck with this one. The urban-pop cut, featuring French Montana, is the latest instalment of Lopez’s return-to-R&B movement and is definitely the strongest song from her recent releases. (Not to mention her looking like a Greek Goddess on the artwork).
The “On The Floor” diva’s recent comeback success has been a result of catchy pop songs with killer, earworm choruses and this one doesn’t sound much different. Whilst it may not sound like an instant hit, you’ll find yourself singing “I luh ya, luh ya papi” after one listen.
Listen below and let us know your thoughts. Will this be another hit for the “LOVE?” singer or should she give it up?
