LISTEN: Miguel Just Wants The “Simplethings” On His New Song

It’s been almost 18 months since Miguel released his breakthrough album, 2012’s “Kaleidoscope Dream“,  so it is safe to say we were ecstatic when he premiered a brand new song earlier today.

Simplethings” is another stellar track from Miguel – resuming the multi-genre R&B sound he created on his 2012 LP, with grown confidence and greater intensity. The 28-year-old sounds brilliant on the song, recorded for the “Girls, Vol 2: All Adventurous Women Do…” soundtrack at creator Lena Dunham‘s request.

If this new track is anything to go by, it seems that the “Adorn” singer is taking the best of his last album and running with it. At first listen the hazy, guitar-driven song is reminiscent to “Kaleidoscope” highlights such as “Use Me” and “The Thrill“.

Take a listen to “Simplethings“, below.
