“Go call the Po-lice! Go call the Governor!“
After all of the excitement from yesterday, we almost forgot that Britney Spears‘ website countdown ends tomorrow (Sept. 17) but she has just released a Showgirl-themed promotional pic to remind us all of her announcement.
The ultimate bad bitch will officially announce her 2-year Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood hotel tomorrow on Good Morning America. Rumours are still swirling with regards to Miss Spears performing on the show, but reports are now suggesting she will only appear on the show to announce her showgirl plans. However, we’re sure she wants to make a splash with the announcement and will probably perform her new single.
‘Work Bitch‘ was rush-released yesterday following an early leak, and has already made it to #1 in 35 countries on iTunes. The dance bop co-written by Spears and will.i.am has received critical appraise upon its release yesterday.
Many UK fans may be wondering why they can’t find the brilliant new single on the UK iTunes but the single will not make it to the UK until November for unknown reasons – as confirmed by Spears’ manager Adam Leber (below). I mean it must be difficult as only pop acts with the high-profile status of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga can manage to get their songs on UK iTunes at the same time as the rest of the world.
Moving on, however – Britney has been tweeting up a storm about the single and was tweeting Ben Mor – who directed the music video earlier this month – about getting the video finished up soon for fans to see. Hopefully this time around we won’t have to wait 14 days to watch the video like we did with ‘Hold It Against Me‘.
Britney has also announced that she will appear at this weekend’s iHeartRadio festival, but has not confirmed whether she is performing at the festival or not. Regardless, we know she’s going to work (that stage) bitch.
If you’re lucky enough to live in a country where ‘Work Bitch‘ is available on iTunes then be sure to buy it here, or if you’re a UK peasant and have to wait 2 months then check it out on VEVO (below).
