Britney’s New Single “Work Bitch” To Premiere Monday, Sept. 16

You may have been expecting Britney‘s new single ‘Work Bitch‘ to drop next Tuesday, September 17, when the mysterious countdown ends but no. She has been playing us all this entire time, as she will actually premiere the track one day earlier.

Last night, the ‘Circus‘ songstress took to Twitter to reveal the “RED HOT” news. ‘Work Bitch‘ will receive its worldwide radio premiere on iHeartRadio and local radio stations at 6pm EST on Monday, Sept. 16.

If this is correct then the UK should hear ‘Work Bitch‘ for the first time at 11pm (GMT); no word on what radio station yet but Capital FM will no doubt have first dibs.

The single will then be released on iTunes 6 hours later at 12:01am EST on September 17. Britney is set to perform the single on Good Morning America this same day, and will also make the all-important ‘All Eyes On Me‘ announcement at 2.30pm GMT when her website countdown runs out.

Work Bitch‘ has been chosen as the lead single to be released from Britney’s upcoming eighth studio album, expected to be released in November.

The singer has spent the last 3 days filming the ‘Work Bitch‘ music video with Ben Mor, who directed the music video for and Brit’s #1 single ‘Scream & Shout‘ last year. The track is said to sample RuPaul‘s ‘Supermodel (You Better Work)‘ which is very likely as last night’s announcement included the hashtag “#YouBettaWorkB“.

We should all be counting our blessings at the fact we’re going to have Britney’s new 3-minute pop masterpiece a day earlier than anticipated.

I mean, when it comes to the music Britney always delivers – in previous eras, the month of September saw the superstar release the iconic lead singles ‘Baby One More Time‘, ‘Slave 4 U‘, ‘Gimme More‘ and ‘Womanizer‘ so we are very, very excited to see what ‘Work Bitch‘ brings to the table.
