Lady Gaga just shut the house down on the opening night of London’s iTunes festival with her spectacular hour-long set.
The ‘Telephone‘ songstress performed all new material – debuting 7 new songs from her upcoming third album ‘ARTPOP‘ and closing the set with its lead single ‘Applause‘. In true Gaga fashion, the singer had several costume changes both on and off stage and gave a large insight to what ‘ARTPOP‘ is all about.
The 27-year-old wasn’t short of energy as she commanded the stage with her dancers in tow. It’s nice to see the singer have fun on stage again – there’s no need for the over-eccentric stage sets or “shocking” costumes anymore, there never was.
The follow-up to ‘Born This Way‘ is highly anticipated as fans and critics around the world are waiting for Gaga to reignite the spark she created with her debut back in 2008. However, I don’t think ‘ARTPOP‘ will disappoint as these 8 songs alone are better than its predecessor – it’s Gaga back to her best; Quirky and clever pop music with meaning.
Welcome back, Gaga!
‘ARTPOP‘ is available from November 11 worldwide.
