Britney Spears: New Album “Is Coming Sooner Than You Think”

Britney Spears is still working on her eighth studio album, but has told fans today that her new music will be out a lot sooner than we think.

Posting on her Instagram account, the ‘Womanizer‘ singer captured a trending topic on Twitter saying “We Need Britney’s New Album” and added “It’s coming sooner than you think ;) But this album is for my diehard fans so it needs to be perfect!!!!“. The post comes after rumours circulated the net that the album’s lead single will drop as soon as August 18.

Spears has been working with William Orbit (‘Ray Of Light‘), Danja (‘Gimme More‘) and Sia (‘Diamonds‘) on the new material. The 31-year-old icon has also reunited with Will.i.am – who will be the executive producer of the album – following the worldwide success of ‘Scream & Shout‘.

Britney has previously stated that this album is her “most personal” yet and has visited the art of songwriting again – she did not have one writing credit on her last studio album, 2011’s ‘Femme Fatale‘, which upset some of the superstar’s fans. Yesterday, producer William Orbit tweeted a link to Spears’ 2003 ballad ‘Shadow‘ which made fans excited as to what the pair are creating together.

With the ‘Toxic‘ singer regaining creative control and rumours swirling about her petitioning against her 5-year-long conservatorship, it seems that the Britney the world fell in love with is finally coming back.
