As previously promised, rap queen Azealia Banks debuted her brand new single ‘ATM Jam‘ during her set at Glastonbury Festival yesterday.
Produced by and featuring Pharrell Williams, the feisty track sees the 22-year-old rapping in a more feminine style than we have heard from her in the past. Although, she brings the punch back with the chorus, chanting ‘You a bad ass bitch / A bad ass bitch / That don’t get lost in the fat ass bitch‘.
‘ATM Jam‘ has been chosen as the new lead single for the 212 rapper’s debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste‘. Following a series of delays, the rapper announced via Twitter that the album is “80% finished” and is almost ready for release. Earlier this week, she was in the studio with UK house duo Disclosure – adding to a lengthy list of collaborators, with Azealia revealing that there are 3 new features on her album.
Recently, anything Pharrell touches turns to gold – and it’s fair to say that his winning streak will continue in the hip-hop genre as Miss Banks has another hit on her hands. The full single version of ‘Jam‘ is yet to be heard or released but, for now, listen to the live snippet of the track below….
Azealia is taking her festival set to Scotland’s T in the Park in just under 2 weeks time. Hopefully she’ll perform the track in its entirety then!
