So, it seems that Beyoncé and The-Dream have secretly been collaborating for the producer’s studio album in addition to Mrs Carter‘s fifth solo album.
The ‘Single Ladies‘ producer is set to release his fifth studio album ‘IV Play‘ on May 28, and last night a listening party was held with one track in particular being praised.
Beyoncé features on a track entitled ‘Fire‘ and it appears to have been a highlight of the evening, most likely due to the high-profile feature. Also, one reviewer in particular later went on to say that the producer’s new album is better than Justin Timberlake‘s recent #1 album ‘The 20/20 Experience‘. Quite a bold statement considering that JT’s album sold 968,000 copies in its first week.
The collaboration comes after The-Dream confirmed he has been working on the singer’s upcoming album ‘Mrs Carter‘ alongside production partner Tricky Stewart. The duo’s involvement came as no surprise following the number of tracks they co-wrote and co-produced on the singer’s most recent album ‘4‘, including the hit single ‘Dance For You‘.
Rappers Jay-Z and Big Sean will also appear on ‘IV Play‘, as will Beyoncé’s close friend Kelly Rowland – who sings on ‘Where Have You Been‘.
‘IV Play‘ will be released May 28 on iTunes.
