‘Skyscraper‘ singer Demi Lovato has confirmed that she will be returning to the American edition of X Factor as a judge for her second season this fall.
Demi confirmed the news via Twitter after news broke of her return, stating: “Had an amazing time overseas and so excited to come home and share the news that I’ll be returning to
Demi will return as a fellow judge to head panelist Simon Cowell, but no replacements have been confirmed for former judges Britney Spears and L.A Reid – both of whom confirmed their retirements from the show in December.
In an official statement released by the singer, Demi states: “I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor. Last season was an unbelievable experience and […] I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!”
Lovato built up a strong following upon her judging debut on the show’s second season last year, and will be able to use the show as a platform to promote her upcoming fourth album release this time round.
Demi is set to premiere the music video for the album’s lead single ‘Heart Attack‘ on April 9 exclusively on VEVO, with the untitled album due for release this May.
