A few days ago, ‘Watch The Throne‘-producer Mike Dean posted a picture of Kanye West‘s new album’s details – only to briefly delete the snap minutes later.
The photo reveals the tracklisting and artwork for Yeezy’s sixth solo album, the follow-up to 2010’s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘, ‘Rich Black American‘. Never one to fall short of controversy, it seems that the artwork for Kanye’s new masterpiece is a picture of Jesus – however, this may well be a working cover and not the official artwork.
The track listing follows suit to Kanye’s collaboration-heavy solo albums we have came to expect, with his usual acquaintances Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Jay-Z and Rihanna making appearances on some of the tracks. Although, it seems the ‘Love Lockdown‘ genius is aiming to push the boundaries of rap and hip-hop by collaborating with Grammy Award-winning EDM artist Skrillex, soon after A$AP Rocky did.
Although, of course, Kanye will also use the platform of his own solo album to promote the best of his G.O.O.D Music artists on his upcoming album also – such as his ‘Guap‘ protégé Big Sean – following the collective release ‘Cruel Summer‘.
Kanye West is currently staying in Brazil with his baby mama Kim Kardashian, and is reportedly making sweet music with ‘Switch‘ rapper-turned-actor Will Smith. Whether this collaboration is a last-minute feature on ‘Rich Black American‘ or marks Will’s return to music following his 8-year hiatus since the release of his 2005 album ‘Lost and Found‘.
