One year after the tragic loss of Miss Whitney Houston, this year’s Grammy Awards is graced with a heightened positive and relaxed atmosphere.
With high-profile performances scheduled from the likes of Rihanna, Miguel, Frank Ocean and Justin Timberlake, it seems that the biggest names in R&B are taking to the stage to bring quality back into the Grammy Awards.

This was not a look we were expecting from King B, but the figure-hugging look is effortlessly sexy. Beyoncé also won her 17th Grammy Award prior to arriving at the event, winning the award for Best Traditional R&B Performance with “Love On Top”. Congrats, B! 7/10.
After shocking everyone with her revealing, slinky black dress and California blonde beach hair last year, Rihanna shocked everyone tonight with an understated but very gorgeous look. Going back to her Music of the Sun roots with her long, light brown weave the Bajan superstar looks every inch the Grammy Award-winner, arriving just moments after she won the award for Short Form Music Video for “We Found Love”. 8/10.
Rihanna’s beau Chris Brown is also nominated for a Grammy Award tonight for his most recent album Fortune, and he looks suave in an all-white suit. I really like Chris’ look (minus the shoes), particularly as he was one of few male attendees to wear a non-dark suit. 7/10.
Despite rarely being nominated for a Grammy Award, Jennifer Lopez always looks every inch the winner with her outfits at the ceremonies. Stellar look, she looks like a superstar – I only wish the top half of the dress was more fitting. 8/10.
Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland is stunning in this mesh cut-out dress, beautiful. My favourite of the night, by far. Work it, Kelly! 9/10.
Frank Ocean is the most-talked about man of tonight, already, as he is nominated for a total of six Grammy Awards for his debut album channel ORANGE and will be performing at the ceremony. The Odd Future member arrived looking suave in this navy suit, but revealed he will be keeping his word and wearing a yellow tuxedo for his performance. 9/10.
Mum-of-one Adele received the first award of the night with “Set Fire to the Rain (Live)” for Best Solo Pop Performance, and looked gorgeous whilst doing so. It’s great to see her lookign so happy and healthy! 7/10.
The minute that Wide Awake nominee Katy Perry walked onto the red carpet tonight, all of social media went wild due to the attention being focused on Katy’s famous breasts. If you’ve got it, flaunt it! At first, I wasn’t a fan of this dress because of the colour but it’s grown on me slightly, still not the best of the night but she looks gorgeous. 8/10.
