Since it was first announced back in October, the whole world has been buzzing about Beyoncé headlining the Superbowl XLVII’s half-time show.
For the past few days, Beyoncé has taken it upon herself to build the hype for herself by releasing exclusive rehearsal photos and behind-the-scenes videos on her official website. Beyoncé has otherwise remained tight-lipped with regards to her spectacle, although it is expected that her husband Jay-Z will make an appearance for the couple’s iconic duet Crazy In Love.
Tonight, the 31-year-old will perform on-field for 12 minutes as she’s watched by millions. Last year’s half-time performance, given by pop queen Madonna, was viewed around the world by 117.7 million people.
The Destiny’s Child frontwoman’s performance is being dubbed as the musical event of the year, as it kicks off the singer’s musical comeback after taking a break to focus on her motherhood following the birth of her and Jay-Z’s first child, daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé is a perfectionist, so the performance will surely run smoothly but it is bound to be a spectacle beyond many people’s imaginations. The halftime show set will also be the singer’s pedestal to project her new single, which she is rumoured to be performing, that is scheduled to drop hours after the performance.
Stay tuned to FameuxKills for a video of Beyoncé’s performance later tonight, and for news on her new single and “the announcement” she promised days ago at the Superbowl XLVII’s conference.
