Yesterday, a previously unheard Destiny’s Child track, Nuclear, premiered as the trio’s first piece of original material released in 8 years.
Nuclear will feature as the only new song on the band’s upcoming Love Songs collection, and band member Michelle Williams has confirmed that the song is brand new as the trio recorded it just weeks ago.
The news that the band were recording once again should have fans in ectasy, but, unfortunately, many fans are feeling underwhelmed with the new track finding it “dull” and a poor addition to the band’s legacy.
Contrary to reports, Destiny’s Child are not reuniting and don’t have any plans to reunite for now. Love Songs has been planned for months after the band’s former manager Matthew Knowles announced that two albums featuring unreleased material are due this year. However, the trio are expected to briefly reunite during Beyoncé’s headliner set at next month’s Superbowl half-time show.
Love Songs will be released January 29.
