The UK’s X Factor Winner’s Debut Single; James Arthur Covers “Impossible”

The UK’s new X Factor star James Arthur’s debut single Impossible was released on Sunday night hours after his victory, and became the fastest selling track to be downloaded on UK iTunes ever within the first 24 hours.

James Arthur, 24, won the competition with 53% of the public votes with Jahmene Douglas, 21, coming second. Both contestants were mentored by Nicole Scherzinger who has promised to keep in touch with the rising stars.

Runner-up Jahmene is set to receive a recording contract following the close final, where he performed his own rendition of The Beatles’ classic Let It Be as his potential winner’s single.

Set to be #1 this week, check out James’ cover of Shontelle’s R&B track above.
