“The Voice” judges Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green have announced that they will be taking a break from the show after season three wraps up, but will return after season four.
Christina Aguilera has made the decision to focus on her upcoming album, “Lotus”, which will be released in November. She also plans to tour with the record and wants to put her all into her music career after spending the past year filming two seasons of “The Voice” back-to-back. In her announcement, she said “By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on ‘The Voice’ in the future.”
Cee-Lo also wishes to take the break to spend time creating new music and to further develop the NBC sitcom based on his life story. Both judges insist they plan to return to the show and that they are very grateful for NBC allowing them to let them pursure their other projects for a while.
In the meantime, pop megastars Usher and Shakira have signed on to fill in for Aguilera and Green as coaches alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton which will surely keep the viewers entertained.
